katie and bryan

Our first wedding of the 2008 season just happened to be very good friends of ours!!! Katie and Bryan are such great people. They are the type of friends that make it to just about every get together - including destination weddings;-) So of course when they asked us to shoot their wedding we were more than honored. It was so great to see all of their friends and family come together for the big day. We were even treated to a The One-Eyed Show concert! All in all it was a fantastic evening full of all our favorites - good wedding, good music and awesome friends!!! Thanks again Katie and Bryan (aka Hoser)!!!

ann and nick.new year's eve wedding

I do not even know where to begin with this one!!! Ann and Nick had such an amazing wedding on New Year's Eve. Ever since I met Ann I knew that she would be a blast to work with. She has great taste and she is so laid back and easy going. I was even more excited when she initially showed me her bridesmaid dresses and color scheme (which did not disappoint!!). From the moment we walked in she made us feel very welcomed. We had quite a crew with us because our friends from Atlanta, Katie and Chris Torres, were kind enough to fly in and shoot with us=) Everyone was so kind to us and it was quite a party that Ann and Nick threw for their guests. The reception was held at the gorgeous Columbus Athenaeum which provided a wonderful theatrical feel to the night. It was such a fun wedding to shoot and we were so honored to be a part of it!!! Thank you so much to Ann and Nick and all their friends and family!!! We were so thrilled to ring in 2008 with all of you=)

Ann had loads of things made by a friend of hers. Here is a handmade headband.

The shoes

Her Sally Crew gown.

They were married after dark and opted not to see each other before the ceremony so daylight was very limited. We did manage to catch of few of Ann and the girls before the sun was gone.

The bridesmaid dresses and flowers were so gorgeous together!

The guys

Her veil was so long (again, made by her friend) and her sisters were so wonderful about straightening it out to look beautiful.

We stole this one real quick before we headed to the reception.

If you are an Ohio State fan you will know what this is all about=) Ann surprised Nick with the OSU Alumni Band and her brother-in-law was a true pro at "dotting the i."

The cake

One of the girls bouquets was used for a centerpiece. I love the design of the bouquet and the wonderful evening bags on the table=)

A few late night shots to ring in the New Year=)

And last but certainly not least we want to thank Katie and Chris for making our very first second shooting experience so darn seamless!!! We had such a wonderful time shooting and hanging out with you guys!!! The visit went by way too fast. Cannot wait to do it again very soon - next time we are coming to your neck of he woods=) Thanks Again guys!!!!

The four of us - have pity on us, this was the end of the night and I especially am not looking my best=)

This past Saturday we shot a wedding near Cincinnati, OH for Kara and Rob. They are such a sweet couple. They were only engaged this past Sept so obviously they have been very busy the past few months. The whole day was seamless and I believe it was just what they were hoping for. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of it all!

The Shoes

Kara wore Rob's band during the engagement. They had it resized for him and he surprised her with this beauty up on the alter. I believe she was pleased.

Getting ready.

A bit of emotion.

On to the dancing!

I loved Kara's Grandma and when she told me at the church that she was going to catch the bouquet I just knew that she would. And here she is!

I love how we get to see little family traditions. This one is the Hat Dance!

Last weekend we shot a GORGEOUS winter wedding. When Krista contacted me to let us know that she was getting married in December I remember thinking that it would be nice if it snowed. Well believe it or not it did, unfortunately only before the ceremony, but at least we had a little. Of course not just any bride would brave going out in the snow before her ceremony but Krista did we were so thrilled! In fact all the girls and guys did, they were such a great bunch=) The ceremony ended after dark and it was COLD!!! Krista and Tom acted like pros for the creative night portraits. Krista even brought boots to wear under her dress so she could walk through the snow.

It was such a fun wedding to shoot!! Thanks so much Krista and Tom! Hope you guys are having a blast in Disney!!!

The bridesmaid shoes.

A quick protrait after everyone was dressed.

This is a gorgeous home in Van Wert that actually is a castle. The owners were kind enough to let us shoot there. It is only across the street from the church but it was quite an adventure to get to in snow and ice=)

The guys.

The church is gorgeous, especially this time of year.

Some night portraits.

A first dance.

The father daughter dance was full of laughter.

Tom and his brother's family sharing a dance (minus one little guy).

And lastly, another "Sticky at Work" to add to my collection=)
